Git and Github Workshop

The UEMJ ACM Student Chapter recently hosted a highly successful Git and GitHub workshop, led by Mr. Piyush Kr Rai, Vice Chair of the UEMJ ACM Student Chapter, at UEM Jaipur. This workshop aimed to equip students with crucial version control skills for modern software development.

The instructor Mr. Piyush Kumar Rai provided comprehensive instruction on essential topics including cloning repositories, managing files, pushing updates, and handling branches. The hands-on nature of the workshop allowed students to engage deeply with the material, solving real-time problems and applying their new knowledge effectively.

We extend our sincere thanks to Dr. G Uma Devi, Associate Dean of Engineering, and our faculty coordinators, Prof. Sagarika Ghosh, Prof. Sourav Kumar, and Sanjay Dash sir, for their support and for honoring the workshop’s success.

The skills learned in this workshop are vital for students’ future careers. HackUEM 2.0 - 12 Hour Hackathon

The RISE IN PRESENTS HACK UEM 2.0, held at UEM Jaipur and powered by Aptos, was a groundbreaking 12-hour hackathon that brought together university students to explore blockchain and Web3 technologies. Organized by the ACM Student Chapter in collaboration with the Tech Masters community, the event offered an immersive experience with hands-on workshops, certification courses, and expert mentoring. Participants showcased their skills in a highly competitive environment, vying for a prize pool of INR 15,000. The hackathon was a resounding success, equipping students with valuable knowledge and practical skills in blockchain, preparing them for future tech challenges.

How to make a Smart Contract

The Pre-Hackathon Session on ?How to Make a Smart Contract? held on 27th July was an engaging and educational event that successfully introduced participants to the fundamentals of blockchain technology. Under the banner "Blockchain Seekhna Hai, Seekha Denge!", the session provided hands-on guidance on creating smart contracts. Attendees not only gained practical insights but also received a free blockchain course with a certificate, enhancing their understanding and credentials in this cutting-edge field. AceHack 3.0 - 24 Hours Hackathon

AceHack 3.0, a premier 24-hour, in-person hackathon, organized by the UEM Jaipur ACM Student Chapter in collaboration with the Eduhub Community, took place on April 6th-7th at the University of Engineering and Management, Jaipur. Sponsored by Nordek, Orkes, Stellar, Aptos, Polygon, Archway, Devfolio, RiseIn, HackQuest, Bobble AI, Jumbo Blockchain, Quill Audits, and IBA, this event boasted a prize pool exceeding 30 lakhs, with additional grants and bounties from sponsor companies.

The hackathon drew over 3000 registrations from across India, culminating in 600+ in-person hackers from 30+ cities, including Pune, Indore, Surat, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Kota, Gwalior, Bhopal, Mumbai, Pilani, Kolkata, Bangalore, and Chennai. Over 100 innovative projects were developed during the event, each addressing real-world challenges.

AceHack 3.0 featured a unique 24-hour offline CTF (Capture the Flag) challenge, a first for Rajasthan, and welcomed esteemed mentors and judges from top industry positions. Prominent names included Sunchit Dudeja (Adobe), Aryan Singh (Google), Praveen Thakur (Nordek), Ayon Roy (NielsenIQ), Himani Popli (Microsoft), Pranav Mallick (Microsoft), Rishika Gupta (LinkedIn), and Maninder Singh (BluSmart), alongside notable Rajasthan Police officials.

Evolution of Large Language Models: The Good, The Bad and The Opportunities

This insightful session featured the esteemed Prof. (Dr.) Tanmoy Chakraborty from IIT Delhi delved into the evolution of large language models. The program explored the benefits, drawbacks, and opportunities presented by these models in today's technological landscape. With 200+ participants, the event provided valuable insights and engagement with a renowned expert in the field.

Application of AI for Sustainable development in developing countries

The ACM Distinguished Speaker Program on Sustainable AI, presented by Sanjay Misra on 22nd March 2024 at UEM Jaipur, was a thought-provoking event organized by the ACM chapter. The session delved into the concept of sustainable AI, exploring how artificial intelligence can be developed and deployed in ways that are environmentally responsible and socially equitable. Sanjay Misra, a leading expert in the field, shared valuable insights on the intersection of AI and sustainability, discussing current challenges and future directions. The event was well-received, offering participants a deeper understanding of the importance of sustainable practices in AI development.

A Workshop on Integrating Machine Learning in Mobile Applications using Flutter

UEM Jaipur ACM Students Chapter in association with Codesta Coding Club UEM Jaipur, GDSC UEM Jaipur, an organized 3Days Integrate ML in Mobile Application using Flutter in Free of cost. with industry-ready projects. We had an expert Mentor Mr. Rohit Agarwal SDE 3 at GeekyAunts and Alumni of UEM Jaipur. Flutter is an open-source mobile application development framework that allows developers to build cross-platform apps for both iOS and Android platforms. Machine learning (ML) is a field of artificial intelligence that enables machines to learn from data and make decisions without being explicitly programmed. Combining these two technologies can lead to the development of powerful and intelligent mobile apps that can deliver exceptional user experiences. Day 1: Mr. Rohit gave some glimpses about the intro to Flutter, opportunities in flutter, widget , apis and many more stuff, it was an interactive session. Day 2: The concepts of widget tree structure, use of different widgets, creation of a user interface (UI), integration of APIs, conversion of a JSON file to a Dart file, integration with the UI, and use of the row widget. Day 3: Some glimpses about machine learning, how to integrate ML algorithms and Firebase. Also built one weather app, and all the students published their projects on GitHub, and many other things. It was an interactive session. In the last session, Mr. Rohit offered a paid internship opportunity in the Flutter domain at Setstate Technologies Pvt. Ltd. One student was selected for a paid internship, and another 8 students were also selected for the 2nd round of the internship. It was an interactive workshop that kept the participants engaged throughout the 3 days. There was a lot of learning from 3 days workshop.
